About Terri

Terri's journey as a textile artist is a testament to her passion for creativity and her deep connection to nature. Growing up on a farm in Indiana, she developed an intense love for animals, working with her hands and foraging, which seamlessly intertwined with her artistic pursuits. Her love for hiking further enriches her connection to the natural world, infusing her art with the essence of the landscape she so deeply adores. As a devoted mother to three aspiring artists, Terri has beautifully integrated her family into her creative life, making art a shared adventure. Her move to Asheville opened up a world of inspiration and a vibrant art community that she now cherishes as family. Terri's work spans various fiber and textile mediums, with a keen focus on rug hooking and crafting upcycled clothing, reflecting her commitment to sustainability. The breathtaking beauty of Asheville's mountains continuously fuels her creativity, inspiring new works and collaborations. Through Terri Renée Textile Art and Studio, she not only showcases her own artistry but also nurtures a space where fellow artists can unite, learn, and flourish.
